I'm building LiveCDs using some script I worked on as an exercise. Now I want to create VDIs to directly use in VirtualBox.
I need kpartx among others to create a loop device, mount it and copy files, etc.
I want to do that without root access if possible, which fails, when accessing /dev/mapper/control. Is there any drawback in letting users access it, by changing the permissions?
