Chemical compound

Image
Substance composed of multiple elements A chemical compound is a chemical substance composed of many identical molecules (or molecular entities) composed of atoms from more than one element held together by chemical bonds. A chemical element bonded to an identical chemical element is not a chemical compound since only one element, not two different elements, is involved. There are four types of compounds, depending on how the constituent atoms are held together: molecules held together by covalent bonds ionic compounds held together by ionic bonds intermetallic compounds held together by metallic bonds certain complexes held together by coordinate covalent bonds. A chemical formula is a way of expressing information about the proportions of atoms that constitute a particular chemical compound, using the standard abbreviations for the chemical elements, and subscripts to indicate the number of atoms involved. For example, water is composed of two hydrogen atoms bonded to one oxygen ato

Clash Royale CLAN TAG #URR8PPP 8 2 $begingroup$ I noticed in some experiments at home that sound does not behave the same in water than in air. Is there a good scientific explanation to this? I noticed that the sound sounded distorted in water but not in air. I also used a software that I could use to hear the sound as if I had ears that are meant for underwater. I do not have the files because they are self wiped after I am done acoustics water air home-experiment share | cite | improve this question edited Jan 30 at 2:32 Chair 4,246 7 21 37 asked Jan 29 at 20:57 Luna Luna 1 $endgroup$ add a comment  |  8 2 $begingroup$ I noticed in some experiments at home that sound does not behave the same in water than in air.
