I am using timerfd_create/timerfd_settime/EPOLL to create timers in my application. According to the EPOLL documentation if a timer is set fire at a point lower than the minimum resolution, it will instead fire at the next tick.

What I cannot find is how the minimum timer resolution is determined. What system settings and/or timerfd/EPOLL options control this?
