Taskbar in ubuntu is not visible. Only appears when I hover over Activities tab

Installed ubuntu 16.04. There is no taskbar in the screen. But when I hover over the activities tab, it appears. How can I make it stick to the corner of the screen forever?

Have you configured it for auto-hide?
