So basically, I was trying to install something and it said that I had a broken package and I opened pkexec synaptic which said that the broken package was: gnome-settings-daemon. Anyways, after I marked It, I clicked applied and it seemed like it was going to upgrade it but the installation failed and since then my network connection is not working. I keep getting disconnected from the Ethernet network even though it used to work fine.

Would you please be so kind as to click on edit and add to your original post which release of Linux Mint, and which flavor, is in use?
