I installed Linux Mint on my PC - why doesn't my computer detect it when booting?

I am trying to install dual boot Linux Mint on my Windows 10 Dell PC. I booted Linux Mint off of a USB drive which was burned with MBR partition scheme. Then I ran the Install Linux Mint program inside of Linux Mint itself. Once prompted by the installer, I partitioned my hard drive and let the automatic install do everything else. Once I tried to restart to complete the process, Mint froze and I had to do a hard reset. And now my computer does not see Linux Mint as an option for booting whatsoever. My hard drive is still partitioned, however. Linux Mint WAS installed on the new partition, but for some reason my PC still does not detect Linux when booting. I'm hypothesizing the Grub was not properly installed, therefore my PC isn't properly detecting it. Any idea on how to diagnose and/or fix this?
Thanks.
Edited for clarity.

Try reinstalling Linux Mint using the drive space originally allocated for Mint in the prior install. What happens?
