This is the first time for me to encounter this problem where when I start up my Mint Linux through VMWARE FUSION on my mac I am brought to this screen.

When I choose the Linux Mint this is displayed

Does anyone know why this is the case? As well as how to return to the regular Linux home screen? (Where the users are located and to access the desktop)
