Docker host is in RHEL7 and I downloaded the base image of RHEL6 and started a container where I installed a NFS package. While starting NFS service I got following error message:
Starting rpcbind: [ OK ]
FATAL: Could not load /lib/modules/3.10.0-693.11.6.el7.x86_64/modules.dep: No such file or directory
Starting NFS services: [ OK ]
Starting NFS mountd: [ OK ]
Starting NFS daemon: rpc.nfsd: Unable to access /proc/fs/nfsd errno 2 (No such file or directory).
Please try, as root, 'mount -t nfsd nfsd /proc/fs/nfsd' and then restart rpc.nfsd to correct the problem
[FAILED]
Not sure why /lib/modules/3.10.0-693.11.6.el7.x86_64/modules.dep: no such file or directory
is coming up. Is this due to container using host kernel namespace?
