Who command doesn't print anything from gnome-terminal on lxde desktop

I have installed lxde fedora version 26, but i didn't like the xterm terminal so i installed Gnome terminal; however, the who command doesn't print anything from the gnome terminal. In contrast, the xterm terminal shows the user when the who command is executed.
I suspect it may relate to the tty reference, but i don't know where to look. Can anybody help to resolve this matter?
