After power failure, when I try to reboot my Centos-7, it goes straight to Emergency Mode prompt. Following is a screenshot of journalctl -xb

Any help on how to get back things to normal would be really appreciated.

if /dev/sda is your hard drive, your screenshot tells there are errors on it. Time to think about salvaging data (eg by using a live cd/usb boot)

  • If you are corporate as this screen points to, it makes more sense paying someone to do the job. This screen also may be be a breach of your NDA, it would sure be a breach of mine.

  • I also feel the hard drive is gone now. Too many power failures in last couple of months. Thanks guys.
