Installed openSUSE LEAP 15.0 on a Dell inspiron mini 1018. The first boot after installation succeeded with working KDE.

All following attempts to boot freeze with...

ACPI Error: [CAPB] Namespace lookup failure, AE_ALREADY_EXISTS...

ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed... AE_ALREADY_EXISTS...

BIOS has no option to disable ACPI.

Perhaps the video system was messed up by auto tweaking during first boot.
lspci output - Intel Corporation N10 Family Integrated Graphics Controller.
Only the main suse repos are configured, so there should be no unstable packages

Tried...

booting to s mode - same frozen results

acpi=off - seems to get further - freezes with three small green dots on full grey background (kde screen?)

pci=noacpi - screen just continually cycles thru non-textual garbage output

Booting with nomodeset - same ACPI errors and then subsequently freezes at three green dots screen.

What would you recommend doing next to diagnose and solve?

Thank you
