I am using hostapd on Alpinelinux (4.14.69 kernel, Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6205 AGN, REV=0xB0 wireless module).
At first, I want to make the wireless device as both AP and station. So I ran following commands
# iw dev wlan0 interface add wlan0_sta type managed addr 12:34:56:78:ab:cd
# iw dev wlan0 interface add wlan0_ap type managed addr 12:34:56:78:ab:ce
Then ran hostapd against wlan0_ap. The SSID appeared. Associatable, but DEAUTH from client side in 3 secs. wpa_supplicant said "4 way handshake failure".
Then I ran hostapd against wlan0, with same other confs. Everything just worked.
So I wonder what else should I do, or if my device does not support this.

hostapd
