I'm accessing a server remotely through xfreerdp to run some processes there. From time to time, some issues happen, and I need to handle it manually before restarting the processes. But it is annoying to keep opening the xfreerdp window to check if any problem happened.

Is there any tool like Konsole's "Monitor for silence", where a notification pops up warning me that the session is idle for some time? In this case, idle means no changes in the screen (like no progress bar moving, no texts changing etc).

It would be great if such a tool could work not only for FreeRDP, but also for Oracle VM VirtualBox, where the same situation occurs.
