I know there is plenty of threads about linux random freezing but so far none of them solved my problem. I have Toshiba Portege Z830-10E where I want to install linux OS. Laptop should serve as personal desktop (browsing internet, emails, LibreOffice etc.).

First of all I bought new RAM memory in order to enlarge capacity and permormance. Old one was 2 GB, new one 8 GB. Then I installed Ubuntu 16.04 with Gnome. But time to time it totally froze - I tried tips from this thread but only pressing power button helped. So I used everything from this thread but nothing solved freezing problem.

As next step I reinstall OS to Manjaro 17.1.6 with KDE. Unfortunatelly same freezing problem appeared.

In third run I installed Ubuntu 17.10 with Gnome and of course same freezing problem. This time I ran memory test for more than 9 hours. Result was successful:
Result of memory test

Although memory test was successful I tried put there previous RAM module (2 GB) placed there by vendor and I reinstalled Ubuntu again. Again problem wasn't solved. This time I saved content of /var/log/syslog. There are 2 freezing moments - 16:43:24 and 18:44:17.

What could be cause of this freezing?
