In a system running under debian jessie (8), i've a strongswan vpn configured.
But the eap-identity wasn't working anymore to connect from my windows client.
So i've wanted to install a new package.. BUT like i was on a precise strongswan release, after the update/upgrade/install nothing is working..

The package i wanted to install is : libstrongswan-extra-plugins / libcharon-extra-plugins to get more protocol and option in my vpn conf (ipsec.conf).

to be more precise, i've got the following error :

root@1980e869ba26:/# ipsec start
/usr/libexec/ipsec/starter: symbol lookup error:/usr/lib/ipsec/libcharon.so.0: undefined symbol:hash_algorithm_short_names_upper

Like you can see below, all the other option works : (it displays nothing cauz no one is connected to the vpn and ipsec is stopped)

root@1980e869ba26:/# ipsec status
root@1980e869ba26:/# ipsec leases
root@1980e869ba26:/#

I've tried to understand what is happening. This is what i've tried :
