Nag Ashwin Reddy is an Indian film director and screenwriter from Hyderabad, Telangana. Yevade Subramanyam was his first feature film as a director.[1]

Early life
Nag Ashwin was born in Hyderabad to Dr Jayaram Reddy and Dr L. Jayanthi Reddy, a gynecologist. He studied in Hyderabad Public School and received bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from Manipal.[2]
Career
Nag Ashwin began his film industry career as an assistant director for the film Nenu Meeku Telusa...?.[3] He has then worked as an assistant director with Sekhar Kammula for the films Leader (2010 film) and Life Is Beautiful (2012 film).[4][5][6][7]
He has directed a Telugu-Tamil bilingual biopic Mahanati, based on the life of late legendary southern actress Savitri.[8]
Personal life
He is married to Priyanka Dutt, daughter of producer C. Ashwini Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies.[9] They have a son who was born in 2016.
