I have an account on sdf.org, which is great. I am trying to bring some friends over. SDF is the largest testbed for the NetBSD 8.0 upgrade, and it seems to be a rough business (I comment only as a plain-vanilla user).
So I am looking for alternatives.
My goal is to bring people onto the USER experience (not SYSAD or anything else) in good old-fashioned CLI Unix.
I have a stubby list now, and would like to know if there is a resource or some wisdom worth collecting here:
- sdf.org -- Works, seems to be in upgrade turmoil.
- grex.org -- Can create new account, validation process has not come back with anything for about 72 hours.
- arbornet.org -- Cannot create new account. get login: prompt, but 'newuser' does not branch to the new user process.
