Does anyone know how I can restore the middle click capability in Debian 9.5?

With version 8.5, I could hold down the middle mouse button, or both mouse buttons together, to drag a document or file to be copied, moved or link, into a new folder, and be prompted to ask what I would like to do

Now it automatically moves to the same drive, or copies if to another drive.

Linux Mint 19.0 behaves the same as Debian 9.5.

  • It's not debian or mint or any distribution speicific; it's a gnome3 nautilus issue.
