I'd like to report the current battery of my android phone to my computer when it is connected in usb.

It should be possible as it is already done for Ios devices through Upower and is then reported on DBus.

See src/linux/up-device-idevice.h in upower sources (git clone git://anongit.freedesktop.org/upower)

What configuration on android/upower allow to report the battery to upower?

Thanks in advance.

How do you check battery status using upower? Do you use upower -d?

  • What if it's a difference in hardware? Maybe upower does not recognize Android's battery type.
