I have a password manager so that I only need to remember one very strong password and still can use a new very strong password for each program that needs one.
One of the programs is GPG, so I would like to use the Auto-Type function of keepassx with a pinentry program of GPG (I've tried pinentry-gtk2 and pinentry-qt).
Currently I have to set no-grab as described in this question which causes me to at least be able to copy the password from keepassx. But the AutoType still does nothing (as it seems the pinentry program does not get the focus).
If I click AutoType and then click into the text field of pinentry I can see that the typing happens (but of course the beginnig of my password is missing).
dpkg:
ii keepassx 2.0.3-1 amd64 Cross Platform Password Manager
ii pinentry-qt 1.0.0-2 amd64 Qt-based PIN or pass-phrase entry dialog for GnuPG
Linux:
Linux tumor 4.9.0-6-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.82-1+deb9u2 (2018-02-21) x86_64 GNU/Linux
Debian:
cat /etc/debian_version
9.3
debian gpg-agent pinentry keepassx
