I have problem when I'm loging into system for the first time (not after I lock my pc). After I log in my screen is black for about 3-5 sec and after that all taskbars are silver (I am using drak theme) for about 5-10 sec and in that time every application I'm trying to open doesn't work and I can see only egdes of the window (example with terminal: https://imgur.com/182rsIb). I looked at system logs and I found this:

Feb 26 18:55:41 Xantek-linux org.gtk.vfs.Daemon[1847]: **
(process:2304): WARNING **: Couldn't create directory monitor on
smb://x-gnome-default-workgroup/. Error: Operation not supported by
backend

Feb 26 18:55:48 Xantek-linux rtkit-daemon[2010]: Supervising 1 threads of 1 processes of 1 users.

It took about 7 seconds between these two events and at that time I had that problem.

Does anyone know the solution for my problem?

@edit: I found out, that this log doesn't help at all. I just wonder if it can be caused by swap partition in the end of disk space?

  • That sounds like the desktop environment starting up normally.

  • Okay, so what could make loading so long? And what about that black screen just after I log in? I'm using SSD so it shouldn't take so long and look like this I think.
