i an running a btrfs-convert job on a drive of several terabytes. it has been progressing for several days now. the thing that worries me: the output now says something like

copy inodes [.] [ 1234 / 1000 ]

(the numbers are made-up, but the copied inode number [the first one] has grown bigger than the number of inodes to be copied).

what is happening? has btrfs-convert run into an error? do i need to stop the process or is there hope that it will successfully finish at some point?

the btrfs wiki states

Warning: As of 4.0 kernels this feature is not often used or well
tested anymore, and there have been some reports that the conversion
doesn't work reliably. Feel free to try it out, but make sure you have
backups.

so maybe i have run into such a problem (my kernel version is 4.10.0)?
