Running vmplayer in CentOS7 indicates that it isn't compatible with Hyper-V

I just installed a fresh copy of CentOS7 x64 and installed "GNOME Desktop". I then downloaded the VMPLayer bundle from the VMWare Download Page and ran the bundle to install it.

Once it installed, I tried to run an existing VM image, but am getting the following error message.
enter image description here

Why am I getting this error message in CentOS? Does CentOS come with HyperV of some sorts? How can I disable it?

I checked the installed rpm packages, and uninstalled the following:

[root@localhost ~]# rpm -qa | grep hyper
hyperv-daemons-license-0-0.30.20161211git.el7.noarch
hypervfcopyd-0-0.30.20161211git.el7.x86_64
hypervkvpd-0-0.30.20161211git.el7.x86_64
hypervvssd-0-0.30.20161211git.el7.x86_64
hyperv-daemons-0-0.30.20161211git.el7.x86_64

What am I missing? How do I run VMPlayer in CentOS7? How do I "remove the Hyper-V role from the system"?
