I have tried several times to install Red Hat 7.5 as a guest OS on a bare metal system through virt install, setting up name disk memory vcpu etc, for graphical user interface none. all fine so far the VNC mode of Anaconda. however when the sustem popup with choose between 1 VNC and Text Mode if I chose VNC Every time the install process just hung. When I tried the text mode of Anaconda it worked.

Why is that? And how do I fix the VNC install mode so that it works?

  • so basically when you say “VNC vs text mode”, you mean “VNC vs text mode”. You need to improve clarity of the question. First you can not use a pronoun (they) without first introducing the subject. (Who are they). Then you need a bit of context. I am voting down for now, but will vote up if you improve question, so that we can see what you are trying to do.
