I have a freshly installed archlinux with gnome in my laptop. There are two users i.e heman, root. The audio output device in detected in user heman. But not in user root (I checked in settings/sound In the box titled "choose a device for sound output" there were no devices listed). I'm a newbie please explain me in simple terms to solve this problem. I don't know if i should provide any additional information about my pc. If additional info is needed please let me know by a comment

Find out what device it is in the user that detects it. Then find out what module has the driver for that device for your disrto. Then modprobe the module that has that driver in it, in the user session that does not have it working.
