Folder creation during install [on hold]

In reinstalling OS X snow leopard on my MacBook 2008, I get an error in the window log that a folder called (asav) and a folder called (cach) are being created. What are these folders and why are they created before the installation begins? That is my question. Perhaps with the addition of, isnt asav a term associated with virtual security?
After installation I get “this is a stand alone machine”, and I realize this may refer to being a device which operates on its own, but that sounds strange and has never happened before on my co outer especially if I did not specify this. Does it not also refer to a “stand alone vm”?
After I moved twice and had not touched my computer in a while, it seemed like my computer had been tampered with and a different version of snow leopard installed, or at least with different settings, one of which is my root priveleges were no longer available. I cannot access my firmware and certain other things like ghost volumes. Is this not indicative of a virtual machine?
In the event my hard drive was replaced by some terorist organaztion set on taking over the world and stealing the three digit amount of money in my account, would this also create such a situation where these folders are created because the original hard drive that came with the original install discs no longer match? and yes, in this case I am installing leopard to try and create some order to this madness.
When I feel like my information is being mirrored and/or my devices (mouse, usb) are compromised, moving places and re-editing my text in word, is this not part of some invisible network I did not join and is this not capable of happening?
To put my question in context, I am not asking why someone would want to do something to my machine, but rather if they could and if there is a way to counter this. I realize the military and al the geniuses in the world work diligently and tirelessly to make sure my memoirs and letters to my mother are safe, but in the event someone wants to make my life difficult, is it not possible I have been cyber attacked? And not necessarily on the internet but just inside some virtual bubble?
In essence I am trying to figure it all out by asking questions that might lead to understanding more. Down votes for these questions is somewhat frustrating, I only want to learn my options and am not trying to expose a top secret operation. Or at least not my goal.
So to be as simple as possible. Why is an asav folder made at the beginning of installation? It seems to delegate my installation. And I want to know is it possible to re-direct my install, through corrupted firmware that controls my Bluetooth or airport, into a bsd jail or a host for a vm?
I do realize computing is a vast science and that professionals need concise details to understanding the problems before they can help, and I apologize if I am feeling overwhelmed. But I have given up on the computer at the moment until I can better understand this problem.

How are you reinstalling? Are you trying to get a clean install? (loose all config, and all personal data). Please amend question to make this clear.

Reinstalling through dvd drive, no files or settings at risk. Also have my grey install disks along with snow leopard I bought in 2011. But the install keeps having errors. The install works but I do not have all permissions. I reinstalled after many problems I could not figure out. I have posted this before under possible vm and was voted down so i am trying another direction.

You are being ambiguous. On one hand you say you get installation errors (although a message about the creation of a folder does not sound like an error to me), and on the other you comment that the installation works, but that permissions are wrong in some unspecified way. Please clarify the question.

I am suspicious about being a vm machine because I have no root priveleges for firm ware and some other commands after install. Also the computer says, “stand alone” and I cannot access other priveleges. The errors are in the window log at install. But in essence I guess there is no way to do this. Thanks.
