Does Debian/Fedora GUI-containing distros also have a shell login-script?

I know that when Debian/Fedora operating systems boot, a user can access the system after a shell login-script is being executed (then credentials are given, executed, and the user logs in).
Is this relate only to CLUI-based distros or to GUI-containing distros as well?
(I'm not sure if in a GUI-based distro with a terminal emulator, booting will be the same in that regard).

you can usually mash control + alt + Fnumber to switch between a graphical console and a graphical GUI on things like linux or OpenBSD, so yes

When you say *nix, it makes for a rather broad question, as you're talking about (Wikipedia-based list as of today): AIX, HP-UX, IRIX, EulerOS, macOS (since 10.5 Leopard), Solaris, Tru64, UnixWare, QNX Neutrino, Inspur K-UX, Integrity, all of which boot to a GUI and CLI in different ways. Can you narrow your question at all?

@JeffSchaller this is the narrower as I can get because AFAIK Debians and Fedoras (like CentOS) are the most common *nix OSs.
