Every time I click a link, it displays a thing that is completely out of place with my KDE desktop and cannot be dismissed with Enter. Tried removing it, then opening links stopped working at all. How to stop it asking me what my default browser is?

  • Nope, I was hoping the same too. Default browser is set to Chromium, yet it keeps showing me that dialog and won't work if I uninstall it

  • Try purging GNOME, and reinstalling KDE. GTK is short for GNOME ToolKit. Removing it does no harm to KDE.

  • Any idea how to do that on Debian? I have some GTK apps and probably this will remove them as well (not good). This thing never happened with Arch

  • Are the GTK apps installed via apt? If so follow the links I gave you and just reinstall your apps after. If you need the data from the app, backup the folders that the app creates, usually a dot folder in your home directory
