  • Mount NTFS Partition on Startup in Ubuntu

    3 answers

  • Why is Kali Linux so hard to set up? Why won't people help me?

    5 answers

I recently changed my OS from windows 10 to Kali Linux 2018. I have this challenge that my two partitions which are in NTFS format are only in read only mode. I am unable to edit or paste or delete any file or folder in the same partitions.

I have seen some solutions in different linux platforms however they need one to be in Windows OS to stop hibernation services. At the moment, i dont have Windows OS running on my machine. I have a single boot option which is Kali Linux 2018 only.

Is there any help i can receive?
Thank you.

Please, do not use Kali as your main desktop, it's not design for this usage, it's running into so many trouble for nothing. You should try something more friendly. Also question on Kali on this site should show good understanding and explanation of the problem which is not the case. Please provide some technical explanation on what you've tried.

  • See my comment advising you against using Kali, the four upvote to this comment and the question : unix.stackexchange.com/questions/399626/… There's no chance someone help you regarding Windows technology under Kali linux if you don't show a perfect understanding of the situation. Kali is made for expert to pentest, not be a classic desktop linux linus like fedora debian or ubuntu. I know it's rude to say this like that but if you're not advanced Linux user, do not use Kali.
