Unable to enable discard/fstrim on a luks encrypted lvm-volume with Siduction (Debian Unstable)
Clash Royale CLAN TAG#URR8PPP
i'm to get discard/fstrim enabled on my Siduction-System on a thinkpad x250.
I use Siduction (Debian Unstable) with LVM 2.03.02(2). I have a big partition /dev/sda2 which is LUKS-Encrypted and in it an lvm where the root partition (ext4) is sitting. /dev/sda1 is the boot-partition and not encrypted, very classic.
But regardless what i do, i always get:
fstrim: /: the discard operation is not supported
fstrim on /boot works flawless.
I added issue_discards = 1 in lvm.conf and added the discard option in /etc/crypttab:
# <target name> <source device> <key file> <options>
lvm UUID=XXX none luks,discard
I executed update-initramfs -u -k all every time after a change, but no luck.
Some more infos:
#dmsetup table /dev/mapper/lvm
0 902903808 crypt aes-xts-plain64:sha256 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 0 8:2 4096
