How might I get an arbitrary action from that chord? Could I get one
action from left shift+right and another from right shift+left?

  • Not sure what you are asking there, you can assign the group switch (keyboard layout) and lv3. Those can of course be assinged to different keys. Define "arbitrary action". If you mean launching arbitrary commands, you may be interested in some hot key daemon...
