i'm making some tests on a fresh Trisquel installation, and i don't know what i'm doing wrong but the thing is this, i installed LAMP+phpmyadmin, i wrote a test.php on /var/www/html/ and it worked but i copied that test.php file to /home/xxx/public_html/ and there doesn't work, blank page. Normal html files shows well, but i don't know what i did wrong as this never happened to me before. I tried with Ubuntu and Debian LAMP configuration articles and i think that i didn't missed any point.

How can i fix this? Thanks.

Check and post the Apache configurations for the /var/www/html directory and the /home/xxx/public_html/ directory. Make sure to also check the Apache error logs. You do not mention which operating system or software versions you are using, which is useful for us to figure out which configuration defaults you are working with.

  • I setted user directory to 711 with chmod, i didn't change anything for /var/www/html/, i had to install libapache2-mod-php7 to get php working. I'm on Trisquel Flidas, Apache2 version 2.4.18, php7.0.32. No error logs when loading test.php.

  • Fixed, i had to comment the line that disabled php from running on user's directories in php7.0.conf
