I have Ubuntu 16.04 using UEFI and Unity. My problem is that I can't stop the screen from seemingly suspend. It happens every time I close the lid or lock the screen, in which case it takes about 10s to dim out, and when I open the lid or press a key, if I have locked the screen without closing the lid, it takes a second or so of "booting"...

I have already googled this, yet the suggested solutions don't seem to work for me.
I have tried disabling suspend and hibernate including linking them to /dev/null and editing /etc/systemd/logind.conf and /var/lib/polkit-1/localauthority/10-vendor.d/com.ubuntu.desktop.pkla among other things.
I have also tried the settings and tweak tools without result.

Do you have any ideas on why this happens and how can I fix it?
