I'm in a situation where a VirtualBox guest (Windows 7) resets host (Slackware 13.1).

This happens when the guest (Windows) in booting up. The same happens with two virtual machines.

How little Windows can put big Linux down this way?

  • What do you mean by "resets"? Are you saying that the host machine is crashing or rebooting when you try to boot the guest VM? If so, that's probably either major bug in VirtualBox or (probably more likely) a hardware error.

  • Host is rebooting. Well, I'm using latest Virutalbox.

  • OMG! This looks like an hardware fault. Please make sure to monitor your CPU temp.

  • Would you mind give me (as a gift) the command to monitor cpu temp? I remember to see something around 50 C on BIOS.
