Is there some easy way to convert USB frames to ethernet packets and converting those back to USB frames?
The Linux network and USB stack can certainly do the former. That's how USB ethernet / wifi devices work but can those then also be converted back so that a computer would see the normal USB device again? Background is: some filtering should be done on the ethernet packages which is likely easier than on the raw USB frames.

  • You can use usbip to transfer USB frames over the internet, but I doubt you'll be able to filter them that way... have you looked at libusb to implement your own USB frame filter?
