I am using kali linux on vmware workstation.I have tried to apt-get update and apt - get upgrade but when I install the driver for Wifi USB Adapter TP Link WN722N and git clonned the kernel file from github. Every time I try to install the driver by entering make it gives the error

make[1]: * /lib/modules/4.18.0-kali2-amd64/build: No such file or directory.

Stop.

make: *
[makefile:1368: modules] Error 2

  • If kali has the same packages as Ubuntu, see the Ask Ubuntu question How do I install kernel header files
