I have been getting the following while using riot-web -

You have been kicked from #debian by @oftc-irc:matrix.org.
Reason: IRC error on #debian: err_needreggednick

Now I fail to understand as to why I'm getting kicked out of #debian while all is happy in #debconf, #debian-publicity and bunch of other channels ? I believe all of them reside under the oftc banner ?

Edit - Update - I have a registered nick. It seems for reasons unknown, I had to reidentify myself. I had to change the password and re-identify myself. I was away for a week when I was not using IRC but this seems absurd.

Do you have a registered IRC nickname? Looks like that’s why you’re being kicked.
