I have been instructed to use the format:

mail -S from=sender -s "subject" receivedEmailAddress

But it also has my login name in the raw message sent. Is there a way to only disclose my IP address when sending mail?

Thanks for your expertise!

Where do you see your login name appear in the message?

  • If you view an email in yahoo, there is a link to view the "Raw Message" which contains all the data of the mail transmission.

  • Uh huh... and where in the raw message do you see your login?

  • The Return-Path lists it.
