Change the way Thunar opens context menu

In most file managers selecting and right-clicking an item, the context menu options are displayed downward in relation to the selected file, with the first entry most probable to be selected.
In Thunar, the context menu is opened to the right but not fully downward in relation to the selected file, so that by accident it often happens that the file is moved or deleted
Can this behavior be changed in any way?
