I'm on Solaris 11.
I plug my usb audio card, works fine. The commands like audiotest works perfect.
Only one problem...gdm capture the device and make those strange permissions.

ls -lhd /devices/pci@0,0/pci103c,330d@1a/hub@1/device@2/*sound*
drw-rw-rw- 2 root sys 2 Mar 16 18:14 /devices/pci@0,0/pci103c,330d@1a/hub@1/device@2/sound-control@0/
crw------- 1 gdm gdm 268, 3 Mar 16 18:04 /devices/pci@0,0/pci103c,330d@1a/hub@1/device@2/sound-control@0:sound,audio0
crw------- 1 gdm gdm 268, 4 Mar 16 18:04 /devices/pci@0,0/pci103c,330d@1a/hub@1/device@2/sound-control@0:sound,audioctl0
crw------- 1 gdm gdm 268, 1 Mar 16 18:04 /devices/pci@0,0/pci103c,330d@1a/hub@1/device@2/sound-control@0:sound,dsp0
crw------- 1 gdm gdm 268, 0 Mar 16 18:04 /devices/pci@0,0/pci103c,330d@1a/hub@1/device@2/sound-control@0:sound,mixer0
drwxr-xr-x 2 root sys 2 Mar 17 21:50 /devices/pci@0,0/pci103c,330d@1a/hub@1/device@2/sound@1/
crw------- 1 root sys 269, 0 Apr 1 03:36 /devices/pci@0,0/pci103c,330d@1a/hub@1/device@2/sound@1:usb_as
drwxr-xr-x 2 root sys 2 Mar 17 21:50 /devices/pci@0,0/pci103c,330d@1a/hub@1/device@2/sound@2/
crw------- 1 root sys 269, 1 Apr 1 03:36 /devices/pci@0,0/pci103c,330d@1a/hub@1/device@2/sound@2:usb_as

As you can see gdm capture permission and make 600(sic!) as octal permission.
I can solve using a script with chmod/chown.
But someone know more nice solution? On linux I use udev and its rules..
on solaris?
