I have a Minix Z83-4 media PC. First thing I did was installing Linux Mint (cfxe desktop) and I did a kernal update (because sound was not working) to 3.16? IIRC

I am having the problem that my TV does not get an HDMI signal after I turn the TV off and on. I have to reboot the Minix if I want my screen back. If I first turn the TV on and than the computer there are no problems.

This problem only occurs when I am logged in to the desktop environment.
If I am at the login screen, I can turn off/on the TV without problems.
As soon as I log in, the screen turns black and it has no HDMI signal.
Opening a virtual terminal (Ctrl + Alt + f1) also gets me an HDMI signal.

The TV has 4K resolution but I am working at half the resolution. Both the login screen as well as the virtual terminal are however at this 4K resolution (which is the default resolution) (You can tell by the extremely small texts). When I login to the desktop the reso gets set to my desired settings.

I am desperate for a solution.
