In a laptop with Windows 7, Debian 9.2 has been installed as dual boot. It has been installed the mate version of amd64. All work fine, apart from the numeric keypad at the side of the keyboard: Even pressing the numeric lock button, it doesn't work.

How do I make it work? I did try to install numlockx, but it doesn't change anything.

  • just for checking i used a microsoft wired keyboard and the same problem applies there as well. even if i press numlock on or off, the numeric keypad it does not work. I went through the dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-setup but nothing changed. Any ideas please?
