I am stuck in a login loop in Ubuntu and I tried to use

$ mv .Xauthority .Xauthority.bak

command via logging into the console

but I recently changed my PATH Variable to Oracle-JDK8 and removed the /usr/bin. Now I couldn't use the mv command because /usr/bin isn't in the PATH Variable. How to resolve this?

  • Did you already try to add /usr/bin to the PATH variable?

  • Yes, I did via the console window by using the export command but I couldn't fix the issue.
