When I use Linux (peppermint, an ubuntu based distro) I want to shut it down.
I press the shutdown button via the start menu, but when my PC is shutting down it freezes! Nothing happens, my CPU fan is still running, my keyboard and mouse just get off and I can't do anything more than press the shutdown button to turn off my PC.

I tried to modify the grub lines and nothing works.
I tried with the shutdown command, it but doesn't work.
I tried everything I found in askubuntu, google, and the official forum distro.
