I install the shadowsocks client in my Ubuntu 16.04 server and configure it as a socks 5 proxy. Now I want all networking traffic goes through that socks 5 proxy, and commands & services can run without any modification. I searched many tutorials, none worked perfectly, so I ask here.

  • Assuming you did the setup something like this - proxyrack.com/…?

  • You'll likely need to do this via the firewall on the box - leons.im/posts/proxy-all-tcp-traffic-on-a-remote-server.

  • @slm, iptables is good idea. But I still don't get it working by following your linked tutorial.
