Alien can used to install an RPM to Ubuntu and it works great.

However on CentOS I can do the following

sudo rpm -i --prefix=/tmp/acme acme-1.1-1.el7.noarch.rpm

i.e. the RPM can be installed to a different directory.

How can it be done with alien? Can it be done at all?

Regards,

V.
