I have CentOS 7 installed on a computer with 14 video cards, 13 NVIDIA and 1 onboard Intel GPU, and a 23" display plugged in the intel HDMI

When I try to start X I get a blank screen. X is running though (I can see the processes)

What am I doing wrong?

My xorg.log and xorg.conf

  • Very likely you have not installed the xorg driver(s) for Intel and Nvidia. Which Nvidia driver do you plan to use? The closed source proprietary 'nvidia' driver, of the open source 'nouveau' one?

  • The nouveau driver complains about an unknown chipset for all cards so I am not using it. I also have the proprietary nvidia driver version 384.98 as well as the intel driver. The nvidia cards work fine but the intel one is what I want to use, apparently there's something wrong there.

  • Please upload the complete Xorg.log somewhere (pastebin etc.) and edit question with a link.

  • Done...I managed to get gnome to start in 640x480 with these configs, but the nvidia software does not see their cards (error querying enabled displays on gpu 0)

  • I meant Xorg.log (e.g. /var/log/Xorg.0.log, or whatever logs you get), not xorg.conf (unless I'm missing something in your edit).
