I did successfully setup freepbx at home using local sip (restricted to connect to the router) and now trying to do the same with sip credentials from my provider.
While I can easily register with x-lite, using:
- userId: +xxyyzzzzzzz (my phone number in int'l format)
- userAuth: nnn0000222333@provider.com (fake obviously)
(note the "+" in front of userId and "@" in userAuth format),
I am unable until now to provide a working register string in the inbound settings of the freepbx trunk.
I tried:
+xxyyzzzzzzz:THEPASSWORD:nnn0000222333@provider.com@provider.com
and also:
+xxyyzzzzzzz:THEPASSWORD:nnn0000222333@provider.com
and several other variations (interverting userAuth and userId, etc.) reflecting my frustration, with no success.
Wondering if the necessary front "+" in userId or the userAuth format (X@Y) could be the problem. If freepbx does not support a register string with non alphanumeric characters in userId and userAuth ?
