Kundian (Urdu: كُندياں), is the 2nd largest town of Mianwali District in the Punjab province of Pakistan.The literacy rate of Kundian is more than any other area of Mianwali having 72% of literacy rate.Kundian is a Railway Junction. Railway Locomotive Shed is the 3rd largest locomotive shed of Pakistan Railways. Chashma Barrage and Chashma Dam are located in Kundian. Kundian PSO fuel Depot is one of the oldest fuel depot in Pakitsan. Majority of population are worked in PAEC and in Pakistan Railways. Kundian has 2 govt hospitals. One is RHC kundian and Railway hospital Kundian. [1] It is located in Piplan Tehsil[2] at 32°27'0N 71°28'0E[3] and is administratively divided into two Union Councils.[1]
The Kundian Nuclear Fuel Complex (KNFC) is located nearby.
