How can I run applications on the powerful desktop and display the screen on netbook?
i.e. playing Minecraft and compute all heavy stuff including 3D effect, then display on the netbook screen via Ethernet. Is it possible?
linux xorg remote-desktop

start by looking intoX2goandVNCfor work stuff, then check Steam's in-home streaming for gaming.

@hotarunso31 That would depend on your network connectivity. Try it and see.

The desktop and the netbook are on the same LAN and connected via 10Gbps Ethernet

There is some overhead for compressing and transmitting the output over to the client, but I have generally had a good experience with Steam's in-home streaming for gaming.
